Why has XING introduced "official XING events"?
- XING understands the importance of events as a great tool for helping members to power their relationships and to leverage more value from their network.
- There were events on the platform using the XING brand in the title before, but the quality of those events often varied greatly, ranging from excellent to very badly organized networking events. To provide our members with a guarantee for excellent networking events, XING has begun issuing licenses to organize "official XING events" to certain members. Those license holders will then organize events following the strict quality standards of XING as stated in the XING event guidelines.
What is the difference between a "normal" event on XING and official XING events?
- Any XING member can organize events using the XING event tool. The content and quality of such events does not have to meet certain standard criteria and is not related to XING.
- Official XING events can only be organized by XING members who have been granted a license for staging these occasions. The content and quality of such events must meet a certain standard and is supervised by XING. Only official XING event organizers, called XING Ambassadors, can hold events using the name XING.
- Official XING events will be shown under the category "Official XING Events" and will receive special promotion on the platform.
What is the difference between XING organizers and official XING organizers, i.e., XING Ambassadors?
- Any XING member can organize events using the XING platform.
- An official XING organizer is called a XING Ambassador. He or she is a Premium Member of XING and moderator of a large regional group who has applied for this special status and obtained a license from XING.
Who is able to become a XING Ambassador?
Every XING Premium Member can apply to become a XING Ambassador, provided he or she fulfills certain minimum criteria:

- Has no conflicts with the other moderators of this group which could hinder his or her work as Ambassador
- Is an experienced and motivated networking event organizer. The applicant should have organized a minimum of four larger events
- Is interested in frequently organizing at least four networking events per year
Are only single individuals able to become XING Ambassadors?
No, two organizers of the same city/regional group can jointly apply and - if accepted - both receive XING Ambassador status.
In fact, we recommend organizing XING events as a team.
How can I apply to become a XING Ambassador?

- Applicants meeting the selection criteria will be contacted by XING in order to discuss the details of the partnership and sign a short contract. Then they will receive the Ambassador status.

- Official events have to be associated directly with an Ambassador's regional or city group, i.e., when the event is set up on XING the Ambassador has to choose the regional group as the associated group.
- The Ambassador will also use the associated group to send out the invitations to official XING events, but is also allowed to additionally use other communication channels, e.g., other groups or channels outside of the platform.
